My wife and I are going to Thailand in November 2000. We wish to take a train from the Bangkok airport train station (Don Muang station) to Udon Thani. The train schedule on the net has two overnight trains and one very early in the morning (departing Don Muang at 06:15 AM). We have received information that there is a train that departs the Bangkok main train station at 08:30 AM and would like to get know if this train exists and if it stops at Don Muang on the way to Udon Thani. Is there anyone that can supply this information? How can we access an up to date, complete Thailand train schedule? We also would like to make train reservations on the net, is this possible if so what is the web site address??? Thanks for any information that can be provided; James R. Lease

23 April 2000 I wish to find out information on two Thai villages. I would like to know their exact location, and what hill tribe is in each village. The addresses I have been given are as follows: (1) Tambol Komgkot Amphur Soemuei May Hong Son and:- (2) Doi Angkhang Ban Kobdong Tambol Kobdong The spelling of these addresses may not be exact. Sawadee krap. A Year ago I've been with my wife and my three years old son for 1 month in Koh Chang, a very nice place. especially our son Luca enjoyed the sea and the son and the nice thai people very much. Now we would like to go for holydays together with our two sons this time (5 and 1 years old) on december 00 -january 01 to the area of Khao Lak (Phnag Nga). does anybody have information about this area. we're lokking for a nice place and bungalows not more than 400 baht a day. I would be glad, to get some more information. Thanks a lot.

We are planning a trip to South East Asia in the near future,with the thought of living in Thailand for an extended period of time. My question is,what can we expect in the way of accomodations and transportation regarding wheelchair bound travelers?. Information on the subject of disabled travelers in South East Asia is nil to none or sketchy at best. We do know that the newer hotels have acommodations for wheelchairs but we are more interested in "off the beaten path",and there is no information at all in that area, I have been in contact with the Royal Thai Embassy in Los Angeles CA and there hasent been much information on the subject from them either. Any information regarding wheelchair travel in South East Asia would be welcomed no matter how small. Dave&Kat

We visited Thailand July 1999, first Bangkok, then Chang Mai, Chang Rai and the Golden Triangle then Phuket. We felt if we return it will be to Northern Thailand as we met the most wonderful people (Thai), we visited some Hill Tribes, it was the most incredible holiday, one we won't forget, we want to go back soon. The people were lovely, it was a very special holiday, one we would recommend to everyone.
