DEAR THAI ART NET I HAVE TWO PAINTINGS ORIGINAL ONES SIGNED BY A WELL KNOWN THAI ARTIST
WELL KNOWN IN THE BANGKOK AREA. HIS NAME IS KID KOSALWAT. THE PAINTINGS I HAVE AQUIRED ARE
SIGNED AND MAYBE DATED I CANNOT READ THE WRITTING. HE HAS REAL 14 CARAT GOLD IN BOTH
PAINTINGS THEY ARE 3FT BY 2FT AND IN FRAMES. ONE IS CALLED SEASIDE BANGSEAN AND THE OTHER
IF NAMED THE THAI FARMERS CATCH FISH IN THE DAY SEASON. THEY WERE PAINTED BY THIS ARTIST
FOR A DR. OR MISSIONARY WHO LIVED IN BURMA BUT NOW IS DEAD. I DON'T KNOW HIS NAME. I AM
LOOKING FOR THIS ARTISTS AND MORE INFORMATION ON HIM AS WELL AS HIS PAINTINGS. PLEASE

I need some information.... I recently acquired a serving set from Thai Gems Factory in
Bangkok. I have been told that it is an antique set. It has, on each piece, a idol and the
city SIAM under the idol. It is a complete set with a wooden display case. Any information

The Rock People, a Tribal group in Northern Thailand - and Myamar,China, atc. Recently
I saw something about these people called in English "Rock People." I am a
Social and Public Health Scientist and retired from WHO-South and East Asia. I have been
in Thailand many times since 1965. I know you have many tribal groups and beautiful
people. But I had never heard of the Rock People. I am interested in learning more about
these people, who seem to be a very poor and scattered people. In my retirement, I am
doing lots of research, including some of my family history in the American Cherokee and
Creek Tribes (so called American Indians - by Christopher Columbus in 1492AD. In fact, the
Native American people originally migrated from the same area of the world as I understand
the Thai people came from, that is around Mongolia. Except our Native American ancestors
came to North America about 15,000 years ago. Finally, where can I get more information on
the Rock People (English) or possibly "Palaung" ? Many Thanks and best wishes. I
hope to revisit Thailand in the near future. I worked with the Ministry of Health there,
