Hello ! I am visiting Thailand shortly and wish to get to a village called Lai Ngao in the district Wiang Kaen in the province Chiang Rai. I need to know exactly how to get there from Chiang Rai. I believe that it is located between Chiang Khong and Thoeng. Is this correct. How do I get there and how far is it from Chiang Rai. Hello, When I was in the Air Force I was stationed at Nakon Phanom. I still remember a great deal about the village and the surrounding countryside and would very much like to find photos of that area. I also have a friend (Thai National) in that village. I am working for a Japanese Television company which is trying to make a documentary about the history of, and the rituals associated with the Lotus flower.
I noticed from looking at your web pages that Lotus flowers seem to play a role in some Thai festivals.
I would be very grateful if you could supply me with the following information:
1. In which festivals does the Lotus flower have a particulary important role?
2. Are there any temples or Palaces in Thailand which are famous for their Lotus ponds? (ie where should we think about going to in order to obtain footage of the Lotus flower.)?
3. Can you suggest any Thai writers or academics who might be able to talk to us about the importance of the lotus as a symbol in Thai life? .

Hi, zu zwei Eintraegen je ein Kommentar: a) es ist durchaus nicht richtig, dass Ausfluege in Thailadn gebucht billiger sind als in deutschen Reisebueros. Man muss sich nur an die richtigen wenden. b)Ich habe auf meinem PC eine thailaendische Version von Windows 3.11 installiert und benutze eine thailaendische Tastatur. Vielleicht Pech fuer die meisten: ich spreche, lese und schreibe Thai und kann es deshalb auch nutzen. Eine "automatische" Uebersetzung duerfte wirklich illusorisch sein.

Our youth group was doing a 30 hour famine and using material created by the Week of Compassion Office of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) In the United States and Canada. Part of this material told us a story about a young girl AhMeh who was a part of the Ahka Tribe and so we decided to look up more information on the net about this tribe. I just returned from a trip to Cambodia/Thailand and my life has been enriched by the hilltribe people I met. They are courteous, warm, kind, friendly and have a good sense of humor! Hello, I need information about a good place to stay in Lampang. I am going to be visiting the elephant hospital and would like some place close -or that has some transportation. Also, what is best way to get to Lampang from Bangkok? Is it best to fly or take train?
I also am interested in a wildlife viewing excursion in Khao Yai National Park. I would like to stay three days.
I have tried to email some places but nobody answers the email. I tried to get in touch with Lampang River Hotel and the Khao Yai Garden Lodge.

Diese Anzahlung können Sie gleich abschreiben und am besten auch gleich vergessen! Weder erhalten Sie je eine Bestätigung für Ihre Zahlung oder für die Buchung noch einen entsprechenden Voucher für das gebuchte Hotel. Das Hotel hat weder eine Reservation noch Ihre Anzahlung erhalten und weist jegliche Ansprüche zurück. Es ist offensichtlich dass hier versucht wird Leute zu betrügen.
