Chiang-Dao trekking
Day 1 / (B,L,D) night in hill-tribe village
Departure from your hotel by covered pick-up truck heading North. Stop at a local market. (*) After lunch in a local restaurant, we reach by car a Lisu village. From there, we start to walk in the forest to a Lahu remote village. The night is spent in this village. Meals are prepared by the guide. (Very basic accommodation at our friend's house).
Day 2 / (B,L,D) night in hill-tribe village
Today we keep walking in the forest, through mountains and jungle, in a scenic area on the foot-hills of Doi-Chiangdao, one of the country's tallest Mountain ! you will also experience an elephant's back ride through surrounding jungle ! Night is spent in a Karen hilltribe village's family.
Day 3 / trek + back to Chiangmai (B,L)
We walk to get out of the forest. Proceed to a local restaurant for lunch. Experience bamboo rafting on a peaceful river ! Transfer back to Chiangmai by pick-up truck, then transfer to Hotel or airport or train station. End of program.
General information
Departure possible all year long. English speaking guide.
During the winter season, long sleeves sweater or jogging suits is recommended. In the raining season, bring a light rain-jacket. We advise also to bring mosquito repellent, sun-cream, towel, toilets and personal effects.
Included : Private car, English speaking guide, meals as mentioned in program.
Not included : Travel insurance, beverages, porters if required. Personal expenditures.
