Day 1 : Arrival in Chiangmai airport. Meeting by our guide and transfer to hotel. Free time at leisure to discover Chiangmai Night-Bazaar.
Day 2 : After breakfast, pick-up at your hotel and start a mountain-bike discovery around Chiangmai. This is a full day easy and fun trip, open to everyone. We cycle along Mae-Ping river, trough small villages, banana plantations and rice paddies. Afternoon we ride back through an off-road trail in a shady forest. Back to your hotel an evening at leisure.
Day 3 : Departure by covered pick-up truck heading north. Stop at a local market. After lunch in local restaurant, we reach by car a Lisu village. From there, we start our trek through the forest to reach a Lahu village where we spend the night. Meals are prepared by your guide. (Very basic accommodation at our Lahu friend's house).
Day 4 : After a good breakfast, we keep walking through the forest. Up the hills in a scenic area on the foot-hills of Doi Chiang-Dao, one of the country's tallest mountain ! You will also experience an elephant's back ride through surrounding jungle ! Night is spent with a Karen hill-tribe family. Diner.
Day 5 : We walk to get out of the forest. You will also experience a bamboo rafting on a peaceful river. Then join a local restaurant for lunch, before proceeding by car back to Chiangmai. Transfer to your hotel. Evening at leisure.
Day 6 : Morning free at leisure until transfer to airport for onward flight, or join another program of your choice. End of the tour.
