DAY 1 LUANG PRABANG
On arrival transfer to the hotel. Time at leisure. Take a stroll in this former royal town on the banks of the Mekong. In the evening opportunity to explore Luang Prabang's little, but colorful night market, where women from Hmong tribe vil- lages sell their handicrafts as well. Overnight in Luang Prabang. DAY 2 LUANG PRABANG After breakfast pick up from the hotel. Take a boat trip upstream the Mekong River until the junction of the Ou River. There you will visit Thum Ting caves with its numerous Buddha statues. Then continue on the road and take a brief stop at a village which is well known for rice wine distillation. After lunch take a tour through the scenic town of Luang Prabang with its ancient temples. Visit some of them, such as Wat Xiengthong and Wat Aham, but also the former royal palace, which is the National Museum today. Then drive back to the hotel. There is some time left to relax or just to explore the small town by your own. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
DAY 3 LUANG PRABANG
In the morning drive to the nearby mountain wilderness and take a visit to pictureesque Kuangsi waterfall. At some spots the clear and cool water invites to take a refreshing bath. Return back to town with a stop on route at a Hmong hill tribe village. Back in Luang Prabang visit the bustling local market. There you can see Laotian and hill tribe people trading their goods. Some time is left at leisure or maybe take a walk up to Phousy Hill. From the hill top you can enjoy great views. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
DAY 4 LUANG PRABANG
Transfer to the airport and continue your journey.
